Oregon Rain

Water, the most fundamental need of human kind is a miracle of chemistry. Water is a solvent, a cleanser and a binder, and at the right temperature, a solid or a gas.
The underlying flexibility of the water molecule is a true wonder of nature. The purest sources of water are subject to great debate.

Some claim that water filtered by underground aquifers is the purest. But we have found that Virgin Water, which is never touched by the earth, poses a significantly reduced risk of contamination from the more than ninety contaminants present in the earth.

The purity of Virgin Water is shown by the source tests where tests for 95 potential contaminants (16 inorganic chemicals, 7 secondary inorganic compounds, 29 volatile organic chemicals, 32 synthetic organic chemicals, 6 disinfectants and 5 radiological contaminants) show nothing detected.

Most important of all the debates about water is which water tastes the best. And that debate we win hands down!

Oregon Rain was incorporated in January of 2004 and began delivering products in April of the same year. This was preceded by a year of experimentation in the back yard of Dan McGee, one of the founders who harvested and bottled water to give away to people in order to gauge the reaction of the public to drinking Oregon Rain.

The first thing McGee realized was that everyone who received a bottle gave positive feedback and even people who claimed to hate water as a drink, liked Oregon Rain. This encouragement from the public led to follow up activities including a full Appendix A test of the water source, as required by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration.

When the test results were received, it became obvious why people described the water as Clean, Fresh, Sweet and Pure. The tests showed that the source of Oregon Rain was cleaner than processed water that had been manipulated as long as eleven hours by some companies using as many as thirteen different processes to decontaminate water bottled and sold as pure, premium water.

Oregon Rain is Arsenic, Chlorine, Chromium 6, MTBE and Fluoride free prior to processing, which saves up to eleven hours per bottle and allows us to deliver a product with unmatched purity at a competitive price. Oregon Rain is called Virgin Water because it has never been touched by the earth. It is pure rainwater, harvested from Oregon Skies on sterile sheets and then filtered, and pasteurized to ensure uniform quality and purity. Many rightly call Oregon Rain, heaven in a glass.

The Facts about Bisphenol A (BPA)

America's non-alcoholic beverage industry is committed to using products and containers that meet or exceed all government health, safety and quality standards.  Recently, questions have been raised about bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical used to make a type of plastic known as polycarbonate and epoxy resins, which are sometimes used as can liners for food and beverage containers.

The beverage industry's products and containers are safe and pose no public health risk, including any alleged risk associated with BPA.

Can manufacturers rely on can linings, which may contain trace amounts of BPA, to prevent spoilage and protect food and beverages from direct contact with the can.  However, these trace amounts are virtually eliminated during the curing process which results in the protective polymer coating.  In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and other government agencies around the globe have found no public health risk associated with BPA in any food or beverage.

In addition, plastic bottled water and soft drink containers are made from a plastic known as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which does not contain BPA.

Our industry is proud of the quality of all of our beverages and their packaging.  Millions of people around the world trust us because, for generations, our industry has made products that are refreshing, convenient and, above all, safe.
